Few singers have the desire to identify with their fans.  Fewer still have the ability to inspire them.   Derik Norris performs with the goal of not only reaching everyone who sees him perform, but to become their friend.

Derik has been singing since his youth, beginning with emulating albums by The Jim Mercy Band and later honing his skills with Indiana's leading high school show group.  Derik's recent influences include Jani Lane of the supergroup Warrant.  This influence shows nightly as Derik performs live with a Yamaha APX20D Acoustic guitar; the same guitar played by Lane (his hero).  Derik also draws inspiration from several national acts such as Motley Crue, Great White and Whitesnake.

Derik formed CHAPTER 11 in early 1994 with hopes of forming a new image of Rock and Roll.  Later that year he recruited Jamie to play guitar; the rest as they say, is history.
